One Door to Safety

No matter where a victim enters the system — through a hotline, a hospital, law enforcement, a school, a church, or a neighbor — there is one door that opens to safety, hope, healing, and justice.

Camden House is that door.

Our Mission

Camden House empowers survivors of domestic violence and their children through emergency shelter, advocacy, prevention, education, and community collaboration — providing safety, hope, and a path to a life free from abuse.

Our Vision

A Southeast Georgia where every survivor of domestic violence and their children live in safety, healing, and hope, free from violence and empowered to thrive, supported by a trauma-informed community that stands with them.

Core Values

  • SAFETY FIRST — The physical and emotional safety of every survivor and child is the foundation of every decision we make.
  • SURVIVOR-CENTERED — Our services are designed around the voice, choices, and strengths of each survivor.
  • TRAUMA-INFORMED — We respond to every person with compassion, patience, and evidence-based practices that recognize the impact of trauma.
  • ACCOUNTABILITY — We hold ourselves to the highest standards of fiscal stewardship, compliance, and organizational integrity — to our survivors, our board, our funders, and our community.
  • COLLABORATION — We are stronger together. We partner across systems so no survivor falls through the cracks.
  • EQUITY & DIGNITY — Every person we serve deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and cultural humility.
  • HOPE — We believe every survivor can rebuild a safe, healthy, and hopeful future — and we walk that journey with them.
